Intsalling cutenews
First, make sure you are hosted OR own a site. freewebs or any other free hosting site will not work. you must own a domain to download cutenews.You need a certain FTP program. i have smart FTP. you can download it at DOWNLOAD.com.
now, open your FTP. and then open your cutenews folder you downloaded. drag the folder out to your desktop
now, go to your FTP system, and upload the folder to wherever you want.
it should be uploading....after its finished, type in the URL to your folder and then go to the installer. click proceed installation
This means you must chmod all your files so you can use them. go back to your ftp where your cutenews folder is.
click the cutenews folder :
now right click the DATA folder and then go down to PROPERTIES/CHMOD
Change the permissions to 777
Now after that, double click the DATA folder, hilight everything and chmod those files.
after that, refresh the cutenews installer and everything should be writable.
fill out the information, log in and you're all done =)
